How I Can Help

Are you feeling a bit like this?

Fraught, stressed and out of control –

Roller coaster mood swings can leave you irritable, anxious and bad tempered with your loved ones, which of course comes with an inevitable heap of guilt – just to worsen the load!

Fatigued, foggy and flat, exhausted by the juggle of life

Maybe you’re the cornerstone of your family, with everyone depending on your support. Add a job into the mix and your plate is likely to be pretty full. The problem is your energy levels are depleted and there’s not much in the tank.

Fed-up of watching the scales creeping up

The pounds seem to pile on more easily and they are tougher to shift. Unwanted weight gain can be frustrating and leave you feeling depressed and uncomfortable in your own body.

Longing for a good night’s sleep

Out of balance hormones can mean hot flushes, night sweats, stress and anxiety, can impact your sleep, affecting energy levels, appetite, mood and wellbeing.

When your hormones are out of balance hot flushes, night sweats, stress and anxiety can impact sleep, affecting energy levels, appetite, mood and your overall sense of wellbeing.

So, What’s the Next Step?

Hormones affect how we look and feel on a daily basis. As women, we naturally move through different phases.

Perimenopause can start as early as their 30s but for most it will be during their 40s. Oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone levels start to decline, causing changes to your periods, energy levels, mood, sleep and weight (to name a few).

Menopause usually occurs around 50; sex hormone levels drop further and symptoms of low libido, dry skin, wrinkles or joint pain may become troublesome (oh joy!).

The thing is it’s not just our lady hormones that influence how we feel. There are other big hitters to think about too, like insulin (your fat storing hormone), cortisol (your stress hormone) and thyroid hormones (which control the metabolic speed of the body).

Together these work harmoniously and if just one is out of whack, it has a knock-on effect for the others too.

So, how do we get these pesky hormones back under control and working in your favour?

My 4-Step Guide to Hormone Balance

My 4-step guide to achieving hormone harmony encompasses a natural, whole body approach.

1. Connect

Know Your Body Inside Out

This means monitoring those periods, tracking your physical and emotional symptoms and taking an honest look at your diet and lifestyle. Advanced testing can play a valuable role to really understand what’s happening in your body.

4. Nurture

Focus on Wellbeing

Stress is a killer when it comes to hormone balance. Managing your lifestyle, getting the rest you need and enjoying the huge benefits of movement are excellent ways to invest in your own wellbeing and support hormone health.

2. Nourish

Nutrients for Hormone Health

Your hormones need the right nutrients to flourish. Healthy fats and the right kinds of protein, carbohydrates and fibre are crucial, not to mention key micronutrients like vitamin D, B12, iron, folate and magnesium.

3. Cleanse

Banish the Toxins

Our hormones take a battering from everyday toxins, found in food we eat, the products we use and the air we breathe. Cleaning up the way we live and supporting our liver and gut (the organs responsible for detoxifying these bad boys) is key.

What My Clients Say

Seeing you has changed my life...I have gone from struggling to walk on some days to walking anything up to 7km every day. As for the hormonal issues around menopause and periods that I had more or less given up on ever getting any better, I can’t believe the difference!

Amy, 41

You absolutely have to do this. I have found it immensely helpful...you can move forward knowing exactly what to do, rather than leaving anything to chance or guess work. It is totally, 100% worth the investment. I just can’t believe I didn’t do this before.

Alex, 43

Rachel was great - she was so incredibly thorough in getting to know me that I felt very relaxed and confident with her advice. The dietary and supplement recommendations were all so helpful and I noticed a real difference.

Emily, 40
